About
Finding The Artist's Way
Finding The Artist's Way is a twelve week course for artists and creatives of all disciplines, based on Julia Cameron's renowned creative workshop series and book,The Artist's Way.
Participants will complete Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way in full across twelve, weekly, group sessions, taking part in group sharing and reflections, guided, individual written exercises taken from the book, and discussing and listening to a reading of the chapter. There will also be additional, optional tasks to complete at home if you wish to do so.
Each weekly session lasts two hours total, and is followed by an optional one-hour social either on-site or at a nearby venue (check individual event information for details).
Participants will learn Julia Cameron's transformative, effective and sustainable tools for unblocking creativity, removing long-held negative beliefs, and for healing the inner artist, helping to find your true goals and to confidently make and release creative work.
Participants will leave with a network of fellow FLINTA* artists and creatives, building community, friendships, connections and collaborations for future projects.
Finding The Artist's Way is suitable for artists and creatives of all disciplines, including but not limited to; visual art, music, performance, writing, dance, fashion, design, film, making, and all others.
You do not have to currently be working in a creative field as your core profession. If you feel drawn to the course, please apply. Diversity of experience is key.
Finding The Artist's Way is explicitly trans-inclusive, and is led by a queer, genderfluid, disabled, working-class musician and writer. The course is not a-political and values the experiences of intersectionality when exploring creative blocks. If you are a transphobe, racist, ableist, xenophobe, bigot, do not apply.
